Stellantis, one of the world’s leading automakers, is constantly seeking passionate tech innovators with cutting-edge technologies to implement in their manufacturing facilities. Factory Booster Day is their special event where chosen companies have the opportunity to share their solutions with top manufacturing leadership and plant managers around the globe.
An application was submitted for participation in the event, from which Stellantis selected a total of 54 companies to address 99 challenges. Each company created a targeted pitch to respond to the challenge assigned to them. The event taking place on September 18 at the factory in Turin, Italy will bring together approximately 10,000 participants to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and cutting-edge solutions.
Challenge assigned to CeLLife - Alternative methodologies for battery state of health (pre)determination and validation
State of health is measured by a long procedure based on charging and discharging the battery pack with a rest time period. This existing methodology, while thorough, has significant drawbacks. The overall lead time of the classification test extends beyond 6 hours, causing bottlenecks in the production line and delaying the delivery of the final product
Furthermore, the diagnostics sometimes yield results that seem to exhibit random behaviors, which are challenging to predict and control. These unpredictable outcomes can skew the final results, leading to potential quality issues that may go unnoticed until it is too late. This not only hampers efficiency but also places manufacturers at risk of costly recalls and safety incidents. Therefore, there is a pressing need for a more reliable, faster, and precise method to determine and validate the state of health of batteries, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
One solution for the entire EV battery lifecycle
CeLLife's technology aims to stop battery quality issues right on the production line, preventing costly recalls and potential safety hazards. With our patented Electrical Fingerprint Platform (EFP) technology, we offer an ultra-fast solution that delivers the most accurate industrial-scale electrical measurements available. The EFP technology can analyze over 2,000 data points in just 2 seconds, making it an unparalleled tool for high-volume battery testing. This rapid and precise diagnostic capability is particularly crucial as it ensures that each battery meets the highest quality standards before it leaves the production line.
The ability to detect and address potential issues in real-time not only enhances the overall quality and reliability of the batteries but also significantly reduces the risk of expensive recalls and safety incidents. This technology allows manufacturers to maintain a high level of trust with their customers by consistently delivering superior products. Moreover, the scalable nature of CeLLife's EFP technology makes it an ideal fit for large-scale operations, seamlessly integrating into existing production lines to boost efficiency and throughput.
This is a unique opportunity for CeLLife to network with car manufacturers by offering them a unique solution that ensures a high-quality end product, says Roni Luhtala, founder and CEO of the company.
In an industry where precision and reliability are paramount, CeLLife’s innovative approach stands out. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and providing actionable insights through rapid data analysis, CeLLife empowers manufacturers to make informed decisions quickly, thereby optimizing their production processes and ensuring the highest standards of battery performance and safety. This makes us not just a technology provider, but a strategic partner in driving innovation and excellence in the automotive industry.
CeLLife is participating Factory Booster Day at Stellantis Mirafiori Complex in Turin, Italy on September 18th 2024.
